Important Workshop Information
The workshop programme is a hallmark of the International Metropolis Conference. The workshops are an opportunity for delegates – both expert and novice – to discuss critical issues, identify research and policy gaps, compare international experiences and build the Metropolis network. We thank all workshop organisers and speakers for the time and energy they have invested in the development of their sessions.
This year`s workshop schedule comprises nearly 100 workshops, taking place over three days – October 28, 29 and 30, 2008. All workshop sessions will be conducted during the afternoon. Those that are 180 minutes in length will take place from 14:30 to 18:00, while workshops that are 90 minutes in length will take place from 14:30 to 16:00 or from 16:30 to 18:00. A break will be held from 16:00 to 16:30 to allow delegates to move between sessions.
Workshops will be held in 9 venues. Some are within walking distance of the World Conference Center Bonn, while others will be serviced by a shuttle. Shuttle services will also be available during the break to change workshop venues.
Workshops listed in the preliminary online programme which are not listed here have been cancelled.
